I have had a bit of writers block lately (too much political TV, I am sure), but I thought I would share with you a new on-line site that I read about over the weekend and tried out tonight.
The site is Hulu and the address is--as you would expect--www.hulu.com.
At Hulu you can watch television shows you may have missed or catch clips that are being talked about in the news, or around the water-cooler (SNL, anyone?). The site also has movies, both clips and full length features.
I was able to watch The Daily Show from last week. I also found episodes of The Office. I could find clips from Friends, but not full shows. Like any site, I am sure there are some shows that are not going to participate. While watching The Daily Show I did have to watch 30 second commercials in the same places I would have seen them if I were watching it on TV, but I could also switch over and check my email, so it was not as boring/painful.
So next time you find yourself on the computer, and tired of working, you may be able to catch up on that show you missed last night (just keep the volume down!).

this is very cool..I love the television show bones..and it's on here....
Hi Holly, just so you know, if you ever miss an episode, you can also go to The Office web site and see all the shows including deleted scenes online. New episodes are posted the day after they air. www.nbc.com/the_office/
Thanks, My wife will love this site. Thank god she has her own computer.

This sounds like a cool website. I rarely have time to watch shows and Tivo what I do like so when I find a moment, I get to watch what I want. I've been on a news fast for about a year now.
Dear Holly,
I just discovered Hulu myself recently when someone forwarded me a clip about the changeover to Digital TV from Analog. It was so funny! My husband and I don't have a TV, so this would be something great for us to check out.

I wish I had the free time on the computer. I have too much typing to do
That is really nice, thanks now I can catch up on some shows.
That sounds really cool....unfortunately I barely have enough time to watch my tivo shows....
Hi Holly, I think I am going to love this site. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. I am not a totally big TV fan, but occasionally I will want to see something and miss it. I'll check it out now.
Hey Holly, check out FanCast too. It's similar to Hulu for watching TV, movies and movie trailers on line.
Cool site Holly, thanks for the info.
This site would be really cool if it replayed sporting events that I may have missed at their regularly scheduled time, and forgot to record. I'll have to check it out to see what it has to offer.
This site should be shut down, lol. All these sites do is distract my assistant and we will never get any work done by watching SNL and such lol. Great post tho, thanks a lot.
