Fresh Produce and More...every day of the Week in Northern Virgnina!

Saturday Morning I made my almost-12 year old run errands with me. Our last stop was at the Lake Anne Village local farmers market in Reston. I could tell by his gait as we left the car that he was less than eager.  He had a blast!  Fresh food, snacks, plants and more...what's not to like? He now told me he wants to go every week. I told him that in our area (Fairfax County, Eastern Loudoun areas of Northern Virgnina) we are fortunate to have one of these markets almost every day.

Here is a list of local markets you might want to try:

Geez,  we love fresh produce. Our home garden is cranking out the squash and tomatoes right now!  The next best are the local farmers markets like you mention.  And they are usually healthier for you than commercial brands. :)

Saturday: I was in downtown McLean, VA  today and I noticed several places where people had set up places along 123 to buy fresh produce. According to the signs there are there every Saturday. Holly
