Kick Off the 2012 Holidays at Reston Town Center, Reston, Virginia

The day after Thanksgiving, November 23 this year, is the official kick-off to the holiday season at Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia.

The fun begins with Black Friday shopping at 8 a.m.  There is a Gingerbread Man Mile, for the kids, that begins at 8:00 a.m., too (what better way to work off some of that food and energy leftover from Thanksgiving?).

Santa, who appears in the 11:00 a.m. parade,  will begin doing visits and photos at 12:30.

At 6:00 p.m., the Christmas Tree will be lit and there will be a Sing Along.

After the Christmas Tree Lighting, why not take a carriage ride around the beautifully lit Reston Town Center?

Here is the offical schedule from the Reston Town Center Events Calendar:

That evening from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., enjoy skating at the Pavilion where the Friday night Rock 'n' Skate takes place week.

Reston Town Center offers a great way to enjoy the official kick off to the Holiday season!
