Surprise! She is not who you thought she was!

I heard a really funny story on CNN last week. It seems that one young woman was less than enthusiastic about the prospect of her 10 year high school reunion. Instead of just skipping it, like the rest of us would, she decided to 'mess with' her former classmates a little bit.

A comedian writer by trade, this young woman took it on as a project. She hired a burlesque dancer to stand in for her. She then rented the room above the reunion and using cameras and an ear piece, she coached the dancer through the awkward moments--but not the most awkward of all.  During one of the songs, the stand-in went up on stage and began doing a dance, stripping down to her underwear.

Enjoy the video, I thought it was a riot!

The woman, Andrea,  who did not attend her reunion--at least in person--also has a website where she is promoting the video from the reunion: Ihateselfpromotion.com

That is pretty funny. I must have missed it on CNN. Thank you for sharing. I've been to a few reunions, but next time maybe I'll pass.

Funny stuff!  I have missed all of my reunions... they always interfere with sailing season!

Holly,

That certainly is an interesting idea! Good story!

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

Pretty amazing stuff. I really can't imagine anyone going to those lengths to "score" off past classmates, but it takes all types...

That was very amusing to watch.  I don't think I would want to do that at my reunion, I guess because I have many happy memories and friends from school.  Thanks for sharing though.

OMG that is hilarious!  I'm still smiling. I don't think I'd have the guts to do that but it would be funny.  Too fun!

In interviews, some of her former classmates expressed resentment over her antics. I might have done the same, had I been duped on video....

Cheryl, I see your point. No one likes to feel like they were made to look stupid.  Personally, I think she was making fun of reunions, rather than people.  Easy for me to say, of course, since I was not there.

That was very entertaining.  Thank you!

It's now featured on the Optimist Group for a little Monday laughter (we'll all need it).

Pretty funny, but I think everyone should go to their class reunion. It is always more fun than you think it would be. Everyone feel a little uncomfortable. That is just normal.
