All three of my children have grown up seeing Dr. Heidi Herbst, DDS, FAAPD. We started out in her little office down the street from the current location, back when the kids played in a little room that probably used to be a closet. These days the facilities are much improved, but the service and caring of the staff remains the same.

My oldest (now almost 21) was three when I first took her to my dentist. He is a  pretty great guy, but my daughter was having none of it. She screamed the whole time and I finally carried her out of there, sheepishly, and put off taking her back to the dentist for almost a year. When we went back, I decided that maybe we needed a different strategy and contacted Dr. Herbst's Pediatric practice.

What a difference a year, and a different environment, made!  She loved being able to lay down and watch a movie while hygienists who were used to working with kids taught her about proper brushing and flossing. Maybe it was the prize at the end, or the bright cheerful environment, but all three of my kids have happily gone there ever since!  The games and movies in the waiting room, make the whole thing much more pleasant for mom, too!

If you have a little one and are looking for a pediatric dentist (I took my almost 18 year old there today), that you can use for a long time to come, I highly recommend Dr. Heidi Herbst!

I wanted to make sure that this message got out to the community.  The missing boy was found on November 23, 2009 based on citizen phone call, so all the efforts that the Loudoun County Sheriff's office made to get the word out were well worth it!
