Northern Virginia Fireworks, July 4, 2019

It is time to start planning your 2019 Fireworks. Where can you enjoy fireworks in the Northern Virginia area?
 
Fireworks on the National Mall.The celebration in D.C. this year will be different than in years past. The president has plans to speak at the Lincoln Memorial and the fireworks have been relocated to accommodate this change. The fireworks are likely to be spectacular, but be sure to check regularly for revised traffic patterns and restricted areas.  Don't assume that your plan from previous years will work in 2019  http://www.nps.gov/foju/fireworks.htm

City of Fairfax, Virginia will sponsor "A Hometown Celebration"  on July 4th beginning at 5:00 pm at the Veterans Amphitheater. There will be an evening show beginning at 6:30 pm at Fairfax High School (3501 Rebel Run). Fireworks at Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, VA will be held this year on Saturday, June 29! More information at   https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/lake-fairfax/celebrate-independence-day
 
McLean, VA. Fireworks are produced by the McLean Community Center and will be held at  Langley High School, 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Va. 22101  this year.  The Fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Admission is free.  https://mcleancenter.org/special-events/upcoming/icalrepeat.detail/2018/07/04/6733/-/independence-day-celebration
 
July 4th Celebration in Vienna, VA.  Vienna puts on a full-day, traditional 4th of July celebration, complete with a Sprinklers & Sparklers event from 10-2 p.m. pm at the Vienna Community Center Grounds, 120 Cherry Street SE  and the Josh Christina band to entertain you later in the evening. Town of Herndon,VA. The Town of Herndon sponsors a good-old-fashioned Fireworks event that takes place at the Bready Park softball field, 814 Ferndale Ave,  https://www.herndon-va.gov/recreation/special-events/4th-of-july
