Herndon High School Homecoming Events, October 23, 2010

The Herndon High School Homecoming Events, October 23, 2010, promise lots of good old fashioned fun and community spirit in Herndon, VA. A significant number of students from Reston, VA attend Herndon High, and the events associated with the high school are designed toinvolve the greater Herndon and Reston communities in the celebration. This year is the 100 Year Celebration of Herndon High School.

The community events planned for Saturday are:

FOOD DRIVE, Hornets Against Hunger -- This weekend we will be collecting at homecoming events. We have partnered with Delegate Rust to conduct a Food Drive to benefit LINK during Homecoming. Due to the extraordinary high demand for food, the pantry at LINK is low. Food donations are desperately needed to stock the shelves. Donations needed include spaghetti sauce, dried beans, canned black beans, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned chili, and soups. Donations will be collected along the parade route, at the entrance to the football stadium and at Delegate Rust's office.

Come out and support the Hornet Football team, Cheerleaders, Dance Team and Marching Bandas they welcome home Alumni and residents from  the community! Buy a t-shirt celebrating the 100 Year anniversary of the schooland show your support for the Herndon High School community and the very active Herndon Sports Boosters.
